Our local community martial arts academy offers you a variety of programs for children and adults focusing on Jiu Jitsu, BJJ and Krav Maga. If your doctor has told you not to exercise that’s probably good advice. Otherwise the best time to start training is now. Krav Maga and BJJ are both fun ways to improve your fitness. Our active membership cover all ages, shapes and sizes and there are plenty of us in our 50s, 60s and 70s still training. A few of our members started martial arts for the first time in their 50s and 60s. We really do take inclusivity and supporting everybody seriously. Come try it out and decide for yourself.
The short answer is that all you need is comfy clothes. We provide some basic protective gear to all new members and sell some very nice boxing gloves at heavily reduced prices. There are no hidden costs and you only need to buy gloves and training gear if you really want it.
